Jumeirah Beach Residence

Important Information

You’ve (generally) nothing to worry about, Dubai is in a very stable zone as regards the likelihood of earthquakes – the nearest seismic fault line, the Zagros Fault, is 200km from the UAE and is unlikely to have any seismic impact on Dubai. *  However very occasionally, perhaps once every few years, residents can 'feel' an earthquake occurring 200km away. Our Dubai family have only once, in over ten years, experienced a shaking tower block but it only lasted seconds and there was no structural damage.

Experts also predict that the possibility of a tsunami in the region is minimal because the waters of the Persian Gulf are not deep enough to trigger a tsunami.*
