At Deira Gold Souk

  1. the elaborate/intricate gold bridal head-dresses.

At Deira Spice Souk

  1. asking what's in those spice sacks.
  2. buying a bag of frankincense, some magic coal and a burner.
  3. looking up at the restored wind towers.

In the Waterfront Heritage Area

  1. the restoration of Sheikh Saeed's House.
  2. trying traditional Al Hijama (cupping) medical therapy.
  3. the girls doing the 'hair dance' at the Heritage Village'.

In Bur Dubai Souq

  1. picking up a pair of Aladdin slippers.

At Dubai Creek and Dhow Wharfage

  2. saying salaam (greetings) to the sailors to get an invitation to go onboard.
  3. the toilets on the back of some of the dhows! 

At Jumeirah Mosque

  1. the details of the minarets.
  2. having some questions about Islam ready.
  3. checking out the mosque at night when it's lit up.

At Madinat Jumeirah

  1. admiring the architectural detail.
  2. taking time to browse in the many shops.
  3. sitting at a restaurant or cafe by the waterside.

On a Desert Safari

  1. the sunset photo opportunity hopefully with camels.
  2. being hypnotised by the belly dancer's hips.
  3. trying sheesha at least once.

In 'New' Dubai

  1. finding the ice rink in the Dubai Mall.
  2. admiring the dancing waters of The Dubai Fountain.
  3. braving the speed lift to the viewing gallery on the 124th floor of the Burj Khalifa.
